They require a clearly defined beginning, middle and end.

Easy, contact me to schedule a 10-minute introductory phone conversation. This is when we discuss what service you are interested in and determine if we’re a good match.
We begin by discussing your topic and clearly defining what you hope to accomplish. This becomes the "scope of work," what is to be included in the project. This essential part of the process ensures your final product is what you envisioned. It also allows me to keep us focused and on topic during our interviews. Finally, it also protects me against project creep. Once we agree on the specific writing service, the topic, and the scope of work, we stick to the plan.
I gather the information needed to complete your project through a series of interviews – phone interviews or via Google Meet. Each writing service has a specific number of interviews associated with it. We schedule the interviews for dates/times that are convenient for you.
First the basics. I hold a master’s degree in English, am a native English speaker, and have made my living writing for over 20 years. I’ve written for newspapers, magazines, and corporations. These types of projects demand professionalism. Storytelling builds on this craftsmanship, but it requires more – humanity, compassion, empathy, and the ability to transform a collection of memories into your unique narrative.
Once our interview(s) are complete, I begin writing. Obviously, shorter projects have a faster turnaround. Longer ones typically require three to four weeks.
Each writing service has a specified number of revisions. Once you receive your first draft, you have 72 hours to carefully review the document and schedule a call to discuss a revision. Some clients find it helpful to email a marked up document in addition to discussing by phone. After I make the requested revisions, I return the document to you for approval.
Easily! Payments are securely processed with Stripe. The fee for each service is listed above. Incremental payments are made as we begin each segment of the project. The exact amount of each milestone payment depends on the writing service. We discuss these milestones in our initial conversation.
Fees are non-refundable once a milestone has been authorized and payment has been received.
Upon completion of the project, you receive a digital file – a PDF. If you would like something more formal, we can accommodate for an additional fee.
